- (PN 42C1830) The QLogic 2-port 10Gb Converged Network Adapter (CFFh) for IBM BladeCenter offers robust 8Gb Fibre Channel storage connectivity and 10Gb networking over a single Converged Enhanced Ethernet (CEE) link. Since this adapter combines the functions of a Network Interface Card and a Host Bus Adapter on a single converged adapter, clients see potential benefits in cost, power/cooling and datacenter footprint by deploying less hardware. This adapter is based on industry standard PCIe architecture and offers significant savings in cable and transciver cost in BladeCenter deployment. This Converged Network Adapter (CNA) utilizes advanced protocol processing such as priority-based flow control, Enhanced Transmission Selection, and Data Center Bridging Capability Exchange (DCBX). These CNAs are backward compatible with many 4 Gb storage targets and work with most existing LAN and SAN infrastructures, helping provide you with investment protection when consolidating your datacenters.
