- The IBM SONAS 36-port InfiniBand switch is a 1U 4X DDR InfiniBand switch that provides 36 QSFP ports that each operate at 20 gigabits per second (Gbps). This InfiniBand switch provides a maximum backplane bandwidth of 1.44 terabits per second (Tbps) and contains an embedded InfiniBand fabric manager. The switch provides two redundant hot-swappable power supplies.
