- The HP NC6770 PCI-X Gigabit Server Adapter is the latest fiber-optic networking solution for ProLiant servers. The NC6770 is a single port fiber Gigabit server adapter that runs over multimode fiber cable. It is the first server adapter to combine Gigabit Ethernet speed with PCI-X bus technology for fiber-optic environments. Along with all the advanced features that ProLiant customers have come to expect, the NC6770 includes support for Jumbo Frames, Dual Address Cycles (DAC), and Pre-Boot Execution environment (PXE).
