- The EMC Connectrix ED-48000B Fibre Channel enterprise director provides high availability and high density, delivering up to 384 auto-sensing 1, 2, and 4 Gb/s ports for mission-critical applications. Optional features such as ISL Trunking for a trunk of up to 32 Gb/s, Fabric Watch, Advanced Performance Monitor, and Extended Fabrics provide enhanced manageability, avail- ability, and scalability. Additional options are also available, including Fibre Channel Routing Services and Fibre Channel over IP (FCIP) for SAN Extension, iSCSI, and FICON support. The EMC Connectrix ED-48000B meets high-availability requirements with redundant, hot-plug- gable components and non-disruptive upgrades, providing a highly reliable solution for Fibre Channel environments.
